Measuring Hemoglobin A1c in Severe Eating Disorders
Hypoglycemia can lead to significant morbidity and mortality in patients with severe eating disorders. A prospective, single-center cohort study recently showed that hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) can be a valuable laboratory measure of glycemic status in patients with severe eating disorders.
